High Voltage Electrician

Installs wiring between control system equipment and related components in accordance with design drawings and Southwestern standards and performs or witnesses test(s) to insure proper installation.
Installs and repairs control system equipment and related components in accordance with manufacturer's requirements and Southwestern standards and performs or witnesses test(s) to insure proper installation.
Verifies control system operation by performing periodic and non-scheduled tests and inspection of associated equipment and components, including the low side of instrument transformers, instrumentation calibration, panel wiring, breaker control operation, alarms and annunciators, and control switches.
Investigates and troubleshoots substation control system wiring and component failures, and effects needed repairs.
You must have journeyman-level ability in the duties of a High Voltage Electrician as described in KSA #1.

Ability to do the work of a High Voltage Electrician (Control Craftsman) in high voltage power systems (69 kV and higher) without more than normal supervision.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience.
Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include:
volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations.
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
